The 2017 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Asinone is ample and creamy, with all of the natural radiance of the year on display. Ripe red cherry, rose petal, cedar, lavender and spice all build as this extroverted Vino Nobile shows off its considerable allure. Even with all of its exotic beauty, the 2017 retains quite a bit of energy and plenty of structure, with a good deal of translucent vibrancy as well. In a word: superb. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2021)

Powerful wine, too strong for my strong Swiss cheese or my hamburger. Needs steak. Cherry flavor, finishes with pepper. The nose is fragrant and just perfect, filled with a red-fruit aroma. This will be better in 5 years. But at $30, one of the best buys I have made.

A Lovely, robust, elegant and masculine Vino Nobile. I had this next to the Brunello and it was richer and more dense. The wine has a deep dark red color, the nose was rich and had lairs of coffee, figs, prunes, cherries, licorice and chocolate, full body with firm tannins, lots of fruit and a vibrant acidity that will support further aging. The wine is still young and will enjoy further cellaring. My score 89, drink to 2023.
