Light medium gold color. Great energy in the glass. Notes of sliced apples, kiwi, wet stones and citrus. Great minerality in the mouth. So much energy. Really showed well tonight.

My wife (Anne-Marie) celebrating her 45th here in Cabo San Lucas. Could not be happier to be spending these moments with my soul mate 😍🇲🇽

Medium gold color. Light tiny bubbles. Notes of green apples, bread yeast, some citrus and citrus pit, and river stones. Modest in the mouth at first but with air this grew up and improved. Maybe a touch past its prime but a good start to the evening… (Bday 1 of 12)

Very open. Delicious. Hints of cherry (lot of Pinot?) with loads of fresh white flowers and a subtle minerality in the midpalate. Long and very good.

At Come Taste the Stars hosted by Tyson Stelzer. Interestingly Tyson thought this 2008 is better than the 1996 which is in turn better than the 2002. Initially very yeasty on the nose - 10 years on lees turning to Lemon Cream. Minerality and chalk in abundance. Great acidity and tension on the palate. Over 60% Pinot Noir with the balance Chardonnay. A very long life ahead. At Montrachet Restaurant.

A mild slow to show nose of brioche and almond, followed by immediate zingy crispness in the mouth with a smidge of sweetness on the finish. Vibrant! Such a fresh kick off to Thursday night in Des Moines, IA at Baru 66 from @Joe Lucca and expertly paired with gravlax, organic asparagus and caviar.

Yes.
Its exact composition is a “closely-guarded” family secret, but would assume 60-75% Pinot Noir / 25-40% Chardonnay. 2012 is in a great spot now (+13 years), but it could clearly be set aside for another 5-10+ years to develop even more. Dense, medium+/full-bodied, complex, layered, and simply damn delicious. The SWC will likely always remain my absolute favorite (particularly in strong vintages such as this 2012). Cheers to 2025!

This is so rich and decadent, has a yellow color with the slightest of oxidation tone, great balance and acidity, buried citrus notes under a prominent and rich buttery and nutty mid palate that ends flowery, long and complex. This ooozes its pedigree, and is its in infancy but oh so good now. Hold if you can. Should be a thrill in 5 to 7 years.
