I preferred the 2018, but still very good, still the clear bitter chocolate etc— just not the screaming deal the last bottle was. Seems a little more muted and anonymous (maybe it needs age or more air). 91.

Aug 12th, 2024NOSE: raspberry leaf, cherry, crayola …chlorophyll…cocoa.
TASTE: silky, bitter chocolate, tobacco, earth, savoury spice, cinnamon — fruit is black cherry and a little currant — some vanilla/banana also. Minerals. Slightly less acidity than I expected for a Brunello (though not flabby at all) — silky. Surprisingly excellent, TJ’s is on a roll — superb deal. 93.

May 12th, 2024Medium garnet hue. Aromas of cherry, earthy, licorice, mushroom, sage. Medium body, with medium tannins and plus acidity. Soft and silky on the palate. Lengthy finish. Not complex, but very balanced and easy drinking.

Apr 28th, 2024Not actually a Sangiovese, but a red wine blend. Licorice and cherry, dark fruit, possibly plum and berries.
Very good. Tastes like a wine bar selection.
Would buy again. $20 Trader Joe's
