Tasted blind. Reddish tawny. Attention grabbing nose. Notes of black cherry, earth, anise, tar, roses. Complex in the mouth. Has a spice in it that distinguishes it from the Giacosa next to it. Refined and well made wine. Guessed 82 Giacosa Villero Barolo. Great stuff!

Elegant and refined pretty red fruit , orange zest , rose petals . Did not have the oxidation that most old Baroli has quite enjoyable .

At age 55 it’s a bit faded. A little tired. But has an elegance and a weightless quality to it. Fruit not vivid but very much alive. Well balanced. This Granbussia, according to the label, was from Bricco Colonello fruit. Lovely.
