Apr 26th, 202430$ Barolo. This is the label usually sold in restaurants, but a few parcels make it abroad. Youthful, decanted 6 hours. Good structure, initial palate has a ways to go, but finish is quite lovely. True to the varietal. Hold for 3-5.

Jun 30th, 2017Delicious at nearly ten years of age...more delights to come. Decanted two hours. Nose of softened tannins, black pepper, dust, spices. Palate is powerful, a bit ripe, dark fruit, wood, alcohol. Finish is sort and sweet. Very good.

May 11th, 2016When I first tried this wine years ago, it was all forbidding tannins. It still shows ample structure, but is in much better balance with welcoming fruit & bright acidity. Very good.
