Pepper and violets come together in black cherry and cassis meeting black olive and ferns with red currant and sage. Beautiful. Round and luscious but deceptively focused.

Still a bit young. Fresh. Fruit forward but no quite fully integrated.

2015 Il Carnasciale is embracing the warm vintage with grace; Showing off with a deep but vibrant fruit that is eating up the expensive cooperage over its telltale gravelly minerality. An impeccable palate, sublime yet intense, powdery tannins and a pulsing fatigue with a nervy edge throughout a long and developing finish. Classy!
Have a taste and you’ll catch yourself jiggling over its profoundness.

Served blind, there was no question initially that we were drink high end Bordeaux. A few swirls later, we headed to Tuscany thank its wet chalky soil additions and sun kissed fruit. Beautiful! Must be the best "second wine" in the world, considering its modest price tag.

Elegant yet dense with freshly ground black pepper and a fragrant herbaceous twist adding interest. Fine tannins and juicy acidity wrap things up properly. Beautiful:

Amarena cherry & blueberries mixed with earthy undertones, some spices and just a hint of green pepper (no wonder looking at the Grape variety --> Caberlot) on the nose. Lovely fruit, medium(+) acidity, nice hint of bitterness on the backend, long. This (second) wine from Carnasciale is still in a young stage. Easily potential for the next 10-15 years.

Crossing of Cabernet Franc and Merlot - Caberlot. Extremely rare bottle.
Rubine red colour. The notes of berberry, cranberry, black pepper. High alcohol, full body, complex, on its fruity side now... maybe you should keep this wine for 10 more years due to the reputation. But I expected more.

Might well be their best vintage to date. This is one to purchase by the case! Awesome balance, length and offering a serious structure too.

Stunning aromatics and equally graceful on the palate, this vintage aspire to be Carnasciale's best so far. Just beautiful! Will age nicely too. 94+
