The palate is sappy, concentrated and intensely tangy, with a surprisingly opulent mid-palate before the wine grips down hard. Terrific texture and energy, though the tannins remain gritty rather than refined. A vivid, characterful Alto Piemonte red and a killer value in a future tariff-free universe.

Jul 12th, 2026Deep, damson mid season cherry, licorice, anise, rustic nose, juicy, complex, huge furry tannins. Well made, decent length, balanced and pretty, elegant. Needs air.
On day 2 this is transformed. Ripe and rich with wonderful stylishness and pure deep fruit. Terrific wine.

Smells like an imagined alpine Italian forest. Deep pomegranate, tree bark, tar, anise, cherries. This has a beautiful palate with mid weight, refined tannins after an hour or so of air, Plums, .
Great Nebbiolo 85/Vespolina 15%
Next time I will stretch a bottle into the second day.

Nice Nebbiolo from alto piemonte. Quite good aromatically. A good bit of rusticity - bit more than I would prefer. Still balanced with a nice finish and good acid.
