Lunch with friends at home on Sunday. A lovely lemony citric expression of a recently bought NV. Probably the best QPR in the less expensive range of NVs available in Australia. The acid is well balanced and overall this is tasty and refreshing.

This was my first time having their non-Rosé champagne, and I enjoyed this quite a bit. Not much of a tartness to this at all. Yeasty and chalky, with the finest of bubbles. Granny Smith apple, pear and some limestone.

Aromas of toasted almonds, buttered bread, and baked peaches press on to the palate. Pear, mushroom and fig are presented on the tongue. Good balance with a soft finish.

The Jurassic Park mosquito in Amber, except the mosquito is made from tree-flavoured pop-rocks and the Amber is killer-bee honey; bubbles feel like the background radiation from the Big Bang.
