Fides Barbera d'Alba

Outstanding Barbera with bottle age. 2003 was decanted and shows an intensity and complexity I haven’t seen before in a Barbera. Dark ruby color with slight garnet edges. Black truffle, fennel, tea leaf, with bing cherry nuance. Really nice.

I'm getting a black cherry - I think a this is a fantastic bottle.

Funny how after a full tasting of primarily California stuff this acidity really shines on this single vineyard barbera. Fantastic.

Solid, well made Barbera in a slightly modern style.

Rich, big, creamy / black fruit, red fruit, compote, chocolate / acidity tempered

Meh

Nariz: mora, arandano, ciruela, violetas. Aun notas primarias.

Boca: Tanino M, Acidez M, Alcohol M+.

Joven aun, podria guardarse mas tiempo.

Satisfying and intriguing, fruit forward, tempered by earth and floral on the finish. Structure is light but balanced. Quaffable.

Sort of like Margaret River (light) Shiraz.... great!
