Nose has cold lilac's, cherry candy, wet baking spice, grape bubblegum with trailing garden mud.

Palate has perfectly ripe cherry, raspberry jelly, wet river stones and medium acidity/tannins. This wine will appreciate me not touching it for another 6-12Mo. Decanted ~60m.

Picked up slightly less than 2wks ago from off-site storage, but landed there about 2-3wks earlier, so settled enough to keep my wife happy tonight. I like to hold at least one month after it lands back into the home cellar before pulling corks, but doing just fine tonight.

Exuberant nose. Big cherries. Bright. Intense. Spice and flowers. Serious perfume. Gamay gives the Pinot so much lift. Palate is juicy and lush with dynamite fruit and wonderful freshness. Amazing fruit. Complex stoniness. Explosive fruit and lovely refined tannins. Velvety. Showing very well.

Gorgeous floral nose with a hint of funk. Lovely cherry and wilted violets. Grapey. Classic Passetougrain. Palate is vibrant, energetic and full of unreal fruit. Awesome freshness and texture with terrific crunch and a charming rustic finish with juicy fruit and tannins. So pure. Just a great mouthful.

Moderate intensity nose of crunchy cherry/berry fruit and crushed rock. Great acidity carries along dry flavors of crisp cherry and a savory mineral note. Nice weeknight dinner wine.

Like a crazy assed blend of village gevrey and fleurie. Dark cherry fruit with that bojo acid krazing . A hint of licorice and a touch of fresh rubber. Needs an hour to open. Everyone should have a bottle of passetougrain in the cellar. The evil stepchild of burgundy. Bought from Fass Selections. ... as it opens it gets even juicier. Pleasant bitterness.

Decanted ~30m.
80% Pinot Noir + 20% Gamay = 100% Awesome. One barrel produced.

Palate has mash of fresh black/red cherry, tart cherry and faintly, vanilla cola at the end of the finish.

Love how the Gamay plays here, for sure adding to the acidity experienced. Lightly tanninic, this should hold on for a few years, plus '16 Burgundy, I can't say enough positive things about this vintage.

24hr Update: Showing more integrated today, Pinot is pulling to the front, suggest very extended decant on next bottle.

True aromas of little Gamay and lot of Pinot Noir. Red cherries, flowers, some grapiness, lovely earth and mineral. So pure. Deep, intense aromas. Deep, dark and rich with big power but also comes across and light. At 5 hl/ha this is something else. SO good.
