Les Meurgers des Dents de Chiens Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay

Fantastic.

Very crisp and focussed in the nose. Sharp edges with minerality some lime and sulfur. Not the broadest in the mid palate but very defined.

Second day, a little heavy on the oak.

Typical PYC. Reductive, complex nose with Flint red apples, almost ‘fresh’ tropical fruits, vanilla, very elegant and long aftertaste.

First fine French white wine of the year for my birthday. Knockout Chassagne Montrachet

Yet another white Burgh I would put into the category of supremely elegant but not overly distinctive - ie doesn’t measure up to the P-V I’ve had in a similar price band ($200 at AS)…arguably overwhelmed by even the stronger cheese served alongside

Loved it. Crisp and mineral, a little bit of bite but more mellow than likes gruner

Beginning unfurl it’s stony fragrance with notes of white flower and stone fruits emerging. Always great acidity/balance. Really nice weight and texture coming on.

Had with Sole, redic.

Amazing stuff. Got me laid back on my chair thinking about the universe 😁.
