A quite ripe and luscious nose with lemon confit, honeyed notes, a hint of sandalwood. On the palate really expansive and sweet with a settled. Visits providing balance. The oak is subsumed into the lushness of the midpalate. Strong.

Thursday afternoon break over mission bay with @Ron Hromoko with taro chips and grilled bison. Gorgeous golden hue, bright and fresh with tremendous balance and tension. Wet stone and golden apple....kept evolving with time and warmth.

Still so much tension here. Crushed stone, lemon peel, white floral, bits of spice. Really great with a long ways to go.

Really good. Rich and powerful. Perhaps a bit much on the oak front, but not lacking refinement.
