Bright lemon color with tropical and citrus fruit aromas with smoky floral notes. Palate shows ripe fruit flavors of peaches, apples, honey and citrus zest. Medium+ finish good balance with lively acidity ending with fruit character and smoky mineral spice.

Bruised apple, chalk, lime, peach flowers, little custard note, medium acid, chalky finish.

Friday night I opened the 2020 Pierre Sparr Grande Reserve Pinot Blanc from Alsace.

On the nose the was apple, peach, yeast notes, white flowers, spice, minerality and crushed gravel.

On the palate was green apple, peach, yeasty bread, spice and minerality.

This wine is medium to medium+ body and medium to medium+ acidity with a medium to medium+ citrus mineral finish. I am always expecting more out of the pinot blancs but the never seem to get there for me. It is a nice wine don't get me wrong, I just hope for more. Pleasantly tart. Lychee fruit.

This one was nice. I enjoyed the ripe fruit and smoke notes on the nose. It’s unusual but easy drinking. This one needs food, such as good cheese and bread,, to fully work.

Very light hay color. Clean lemony nose. Peachy. A rad sweet.

Pretty neat Pinot Blanc from Alsace. It’s got this floral, honeysuckle, clean umami vibe going for it. Just released in US so tasting pretty fresh.

E’ piu dolce che ho aspettato. Non cera male per apertivo, ma non sarebbe perfetto con sashimi pesce crudo. Forse non bisogno di prendere ancola.
