Easy to like, and more open than the Fluerie

No notes. Wine I brought to the 40th birthday of a friend who celebrated her 40th in France over the weekend. Rainy party, good company, good wines. Rating reflective of the quality in the glass. A bit rustic and needs time to open

Produced from three different parcels, (Rochegrès, Roche Noire and La Rochelle), and two different wine making routines, the complex 2021 Chermette Moulin-à-Vent displays a beautiful ruby red appearance, backed up by intense red fruit aromatics and confirming red fruit flavors; nicely structured and well balanced with lively acidity and refined mouth coating tannins. A joyful Gamay that should be perfect with tonight’s roast chicken.

Sweet and tart red and black fruits, soil, med acid and fine tannin. A bit larger-scaled than other vintages but still excellent QPR 👍

It took a full twenty-four hours to reveal some pretty tasty juice. May well have pulled the cork a tad too early.
