Added via search given Soho House NYC's strict no photos policy. A very average, velvety Barbera sold at way too much per glass at room temperature. The gas was broken so the kitchen was serving a limited menu and the heating didn't work this frosty February evening. On the plus side this meant that this mediocre wine was poured at what approximated the correct temperature.

Lovely floral and pepper aroma. Full bodied, complex with ripe currants. Pleasantly surprised by this budget wine from Wegman's. Great with pasta ๐Ÿ˜š

Starts big and tight. Giving air... Nice. Big fruit and solid body. Definitely on the robust end of Barbera.

This is in my spezzatino with chanterelles. On the side glass itโ€™s very welcoming.

Round and juicy. Not my preference for barbera. I think the Dutch are somewhat like mainstream Americans with preferences for big juicy reds with low acidity.
