Sourced from vineyard with steep, rocky slopes from 1,200 to 1,700 feet elevation. Barrel fermented with native yeast then aged on the lees in French oak for 11 months with weekly bâtonnage. 14.8% ABV. $95.

Total new-oak presentation. Lovely, zesty nose. Palate presents grapefruit and tangerines. Very fruit-forward, with acid which has not yet come together. David’s numbers, which I agree with. Stunning presentation.

This 2014 gem was the perfect start to the Mayacama comeback weekend. Ample fruit, acid, length...fighting, fencing, giants, true love! Things can only get better.

Exceeded expectations. Alcohol is clearly noticeable but there is some good acidity. Lemon, butter and some oak. Nicely layered. Not my style but I get the appeal.
