A few wines from last week’s 4th Friday event!

My surprise of the day, in terms of how it has evolved. Would have never guessed this could have reached 11yrs old without showing rich notes of oak or juicy fruit. Powdered lemon bar, honeysuckle, honey roasted cashews up front, but beautifully finessed on the palate with added notes of mineral, stone fruits, soft pastry and nutmeg. Acidity is almost energetic here. Very pretty. Thanks

Excellent bottle as there has been some bottle variance. This one still bright, clean minerally palate with lemon custard finish, citrus marmalade...no signs of tiring yet! :)

On the downslope but still very tasty. Lack of much acid. I like it. Drink right away.

Lemon yellow with aromas of lemon, grapefruit peel, white peach, acacia, and almond. Full bodied a creamy texture and ripe fruit which is balanced by good acidity and minerality. Sourced from vineyard with steep, rocky slopes from 1,200 to 1,700 feet elevation. Barrel fermented with native yeast then aged on the lees in French oak for 11 months with weekly bâtonnage. 14.8% ABV. $95.

Pretty simple and was good with salmon and crabs. A lot of tropical fruit without much acid - shows pineapple, apricot, caramel and some vanilla. Drink up if have, won’t get better.
