Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Formed in 1979 by Peter Lehmann to assist the grape growers of the region who at the time were facing financial ruin, they now enjoy the rewards of longstanding friendships and loyalty. Deep red with aromas of black fruit and smoky oak. On the palate black raspberry and plum flavors, pepper spice, savory with fine tannins. Medium finish ending with oaky notes.

Wine isn't a sleep number bed. You get what you get. But if you drink enough of any of it's myriad of offerings, you too will sleep like a baby. A drunk baby. Which, I hate to admit, I must have been called behind my back prolly once or twice upon a happenstance. At any rate, this made for a good Shiraz/cab to hail.
The sleep number on this Aussie red is set at a solid 'just right for me'.

Blend of cab sav , Merlot, Syrah, cab franc. Immediately dry Dark fruit then quickly turns to aLmost a sweet hint of cherries then incredibly dry tannin finish.

A wine that was fine with good Australian lamb chops. By itself not a great wine .2013

Nice burgundy color with light coffee shade on the rim. Nose of some chocolate, ripe plum, powerful alcohol, spice, salty, and flowering note. Alcohol is dominant. Taste of young bright acidity with hidden sweetness, raisins, some flowering note, zesty and low tannins. Aftertaste is primarily lingering sweet note with slight bitterness on the rim of the tongue. Nothing wrong with this wine, but I kind of expecting more complexity from this red blend. After 30 minutes of decanting, sweetness like vanilla and ripe berries surfaces and becomes dominant. But the complexity is still missing.
