Decanted 2 hours ahead and could have used more. 30+ years old and still super fresh. Really opened up by the second glass. Fruity, smoky, and lush. Well, that was my only bottle but happy to have enjoyed it.

At first the nose is cedary and earthy and pencil lead. Then it quickly opens up to display an array of blueberry, black currant and sweet plum. Amazingly alive for a wine of this age and can still go another 10 years. Alluring, long finish of leather, sweet spice and smoky oak. Thank you Tim Matz for the taste!

Tremendous structure. A real treat after a long two days of work. I enjoyed the weight on the palate and the silky tannins. Pebble Beach Food & Wine 2016
