Was everything I expected and then some... Expected the elegance, the graphite, the earthiness, the black fruits, the finish (oh, the finish). But did not expect the 21 year old wine to still be so tight right out of the bottle. A 1 hour decanting improved this wine tremendously. Drank May 2016. — 9 years ago
wow. Where is my beef? So many secondary flavors in this wine, and they continued to evolve throughout the finish. Restrained at times, this wine was not dominated by just one character. Graphite, blackberries, leather, spice rack, medium plus acid and tannins still. — 9 years ago
Dry furmint hand delivered from Mad, Tokaj, Hungary. A simple, flavorful white wine. Baked pear, nutmeg, short fruity finish. Foccacia, olive oil, balsamic vinegar is a great pairing. Simple and enjoyable. — 8 years ago
This is the third release of Tendu white wine and the blend is once again based on Vermentino from the weathered, pink gravelly alluvium, very low fertility soils (Corning Series) called the Windmill Vineyard. The vineyard is located outside of Woodland in Yolo County (Dunnigan Hills AVA). It is of moderate elevation and it gets quite warm during the day. 2014 was an early, warmharvest marked by a very dry Winter and Spring. Tendu had to look outside their vineyard this year to find the acidity that they crave. Through a friend they found some racy French Colombard in Suisun Valley and Steve blended in a little lean and mean Chardonnay from the Linda Vista vineyard.
Blend: 69% Vermentino, 27% French Colombard, 4% Chardonnay — 9 years ago
Tremendous structure. A real treat after a long two days of work. I enjoyed the weight on the palate and the silky tannins. Pebble Beach Food & Wine 2016 — 9 years ago

Brought in by one of my favorite guests at Mastros Steakhouse Beverly Hills.
Surprisingly intense fruit aromatics on this 41 year old wine. On the palate, the fruit was muted. Black cherry, plum, lots of plum. Delicious — 8 years ago
Everyone needs to drink more Merlot. This bottle from Farella is tremendous. A classic example of a new world Merlot. Well structured with subtle fruit, & a mocha, cocoa powder finish. Everything I want. — 9 years ago

I loved this wine. Fun, wild, and unique - just like Abe. Its a Sauv Blanc like no other. Peach and apricot, in flavor and color. Bright and powerful at 6 years old. We strained and decanted. Perfect match to the cuisine at Faith & Flower (LA,CA,USA). Tuna tartar, risotto(s), jerk chicken. Mmmmm. — 8 years ago
