I'm sad to see to which extent people had contorted the Syrah grape. Completely disfigured, un drinkable, heavy stuff. Probably if you think that wine is something akin of a cocktail, not part of the food that you put on the table, then go ahead. With reviews like this I think I sound like an arrogant prick, but I really dislike this style of wine.

Very beautiful, smooth and nicely tuned. Love this wine almost as much as the 2012. Every time I re-taste this wine I affirm the rating. Robert Parker gave it 90pts, so I am in good company here. Mother's Day '16.

Black cherry and clove on the nose. Excellent color, like ink. Smooth finish, very enjoyable. After reading other notes, I noticed the spicy oak was also apparent.

Showing restraint, chocolate, balance, impressive.
