Tony and his wife Herta purchased 30 acres of land in the Napa Valley with the magic ingredient - location. With a splash of Malbec added, aromas of dark berry fruit and cigar box spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and raspberry with cacao, licorice and herb notes. Fine tannins, nice acidity, good balance on long finish ending with fruit and cedar notes. Drinking well now!

Tony and his wife Herta purchased 30 acres of land in the Napa Valley with the magic ingredient - location. With 1% Malbec added, Aromas of dark berry fruit and woodsy spice. On the palate cherry and ripe raspberry flavors with cacao, oak and herb pepper notes. Firm tannins ready to age, nice acidity, good balance on lingering finish.

Arguably one of the best Cabs in the Napa Valley, Peju's offering is complex but graceful with remarkable balance and intriguing fruit flavors.

Rich Napa nose of plum, cherry, leather and spice. Pretty floral undertones- violets. Bright fruit on palate, mocha and red berries

2014 just didn’t deliver for Peju. Good tannic start that quickly disappeared into thin juice.

It's time for #MerlotThursday. Here's a delightful one.

Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, spices, cedar, licorice, vanilla, light vegetables, dark coffee, herbs, tobacco leaf, spices, earth and black pepper.

Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, cedar, leather, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, coke, graphite and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very enjoyable Merlot from Napa Valley. Fruit forward, rich and big, with a great mouthfeel and nice complexity.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows the tannins {90 minutes).

Drinking very nicely now and will be better in the next 5 years.

I had it all by itself. So delicious.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$40.

Grabbed a quick taste at an event. Interesting Zin! Nice spicy nose, full fruit. On the palate dark berry with pepper spice, not over done and put together well. Vivid acidity ending with that typical Zin spice ending. Nice! Tasting Sample!
