This is developing very well - delicious Dolcetto - velvet tannins, crisp acidity, silky texture and full of blackberry, black cherry and plum flavors. A hint of cedar and forest floor adds dimension. Lovely wine indeed.

This is an enjoyable, easy-drinking wine with medium tannins and medium acidity and plenty of red and black fruit character. Black cherry, wild strawberry, rhubarb, plum and violets all mingle on the bouquet and palate. Needs a little air (and food) to open up but wonderful balance of fresh appeal and flavorful depth.

Surprising depth with a medley of cherry, leather and mint. Not overly sophisticated but enormously enjoyable.

Aways loved Pecchenino's Dolcettos. Haven't had any in years & found this one surprisingly earthy/Brett. Was overall okay with lovely blackberry fruit, but I wouldn't have minded less funk.

This is the first time last night I had tried a dolcetto wine. I was very happy with what I was drinking. This was definitely the winner for me on the evening. The aroma was fresh with violets, red berries with a bit of almonds. The palate is medium bodied with a nice smooth feel and smooth tannins. The red berries come through with a slight bitter overtones and a nice acidity. It definitely is drinking well now.

drinking a 2011 Dogliani in August 2022 could be a challenge for most of dolcetto’s, but not for this!

Pecchenino Siri d’Jermu Dogliani Superiore DOCG 2018: Medium-plus bodied. Balanced acidity & tannins. Deliciously complex palate of cherry, plum, blackberry, spice & oak. Smooth flavorful finish. All in all, loving this Northern Italian 100% Dolcetto beauty. Enjoyed with a salsiccia pizza. Have a great day! Cheers 🇮🇹🍷
