This is not boogie nights but the Batana skin-macerated Malvasia Bianca and it is on fucking point.

I’ve posted this before, but this is just a terrific wine from Paul Lato. Highly recommended if you’d like an incredibly well-made, crisp, bright malvasia with a Central Coast fare to it. Awesome.

Great example of a New World malvasia. Outpaces what Steve Clifton at Palmina does with this varietal in terms of depth and length (chalk that up to winemaker’s preference). No idea about how well it might age, but I wouldn’t bother waiting!

Wow. This is a terrific white from Paul Lato. Super crisp on the palate, but with beautiful aromas of white flowers, maybe some green apple. Despite the tartness initially, the wine really billows across the palate into a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Lingering finish. This is NOT reminiscent of anything from Collio Orientali - it is pure California - but it’s excellent. Highly recommend.

A very enjoyable Santa Barbara white varietal that broke up the usual Chard/SB rut. Paul is a perennial favorite producer for me.
