Light, fruity, and tart. Candy apple and peach. Still has lots and lots of time to mature but it isn’t an awkward teenager. Even though it’s a slow developer, it’s graceful and athletic as heck.

It reminds me of going to the county fair as a high schooler, wearing my letterman jacket, thinking I was so cool and nothing could be better.

Salinity, like fresh ocean air. Pomegranate and cherry. It’s medium sized, not huge and fake like so many Cali pinots. Definitely fruit forward and still has aging potential.

Campfire on the beach.

Patz and Hall Wine Company founded in 1988 by Donald Patz, James Hall, Anne Moses and Heather Patz, with a mission of producing hand-crafted wines. Dark Ruby with complex aromas of black and red fruits with herb and floral scents. From Dijon clones, on the palate sweet cherry and strawberry with cacao, earthy spice and notes of smoke. Aged on French Oak, this wine was well balanced, savory, round tannins, lingering nicely ending with some earthy mineral tones. Has room to age. Excellent!! Tasting Sample!

Went to a tasting and have not tasted the ‘13 in over a year, aged well, consistent notes. Dark Ruby with complex aromas of black and red fruits with herb and floral scents. From Dijon clones, palate shows a great arrangement of fruits, sweet cherry, raspberry, plum and blueberry. Aged on French Oak, this wine was well balanced, savory, lingering nicely ending with some cacao and black pepper. Aged well, has more room. Excellent!!

This wine was right at the corner turning away from all the juicy-berry character and starting to reveal the darker, earthier notes. 2005. So good.

Donald, what another amazing Pinot Noir. Drinking it on the deck of the Trident in Sausalito with a big family gathering. Beautiful and delicious. Love your wines!
