Perfect with a little cheddar and some green apple — 10 years ago
Needs to warm up and open up. And when it does, nice balance and structure. Not a huge amount of fruit. Very dry nose. Had with oysters with blood orange, tarragon, coconut and balsamic mignonette. Tasty — 10 years ago
Wow. I could have been with this wine all night. Just a lovely bottle and a great setting. — 9 years ago
Nice acidity with gentle berry fruit and a little smoke. Drank with Cowgirl Creamery Red Hawk and water crackers — 10 years ago
Holy cow. Unbelievable in every way. Complex nose, tremendous structure. Musty, flinty, hints of cherry and raspberry but just a touch. Had with a pappardelle with braised pork, chanterelles, olive, white wine, ciopollinis and garlic. Really magical — 10 years ago

The 2008: Nice flinty structure with a crisp citrus finish. Our Valentines 2015 choice with petrale sole and grilled prawns at John's Grill, an SF institution. — 10 years ago
Probably in the top 3 of the best single varietals I've ever had. Very light in color like a Pinot, but then the fruit takes over and just adds layer on layer. Berries, cake batter, dark brown sugar and smoke. Loved it — 10 years ago
Really tasty old world French pinot noir. Drank it with a rack of lamb and some bucatini with bacon and rabbit. Opened up nicely after decanting as the night went on. Would drink again. — 10 years ago

Donald, what another amazing Pinot Noir. Drinking it on the deck of the Trident in Sausalito with a big family gathering. Beautiful and delicious. Love your wines! — 9 years ago
