Medium bodied but lively and refreshing. Nutmeg and cinnamon on the nose with hints of vanilla and freshly kneaded yeasty dough.

Reminds me of Granny’s kitchen.

15’ Patz & Hall Hudson Vineyard Chardonnay. Bright golden color. Palate is full of pear, apple , almond, lemon candy. Moderate acidity & a lengthy finish. Without a doubt one of my favorite vineyards for Chardonnay. Drinking wonderful now!

Solid, very solid. Parker gave this 95 points FWIW. I agree with his score 100%. One of the longest finishes I’ve had in any of the Hudson’s. For more details see my previous review.

My first Patz & Hall Chardonnay...hello gorgeous! For me, this was more mersault like than Montrachet or Chablis. Needs about 30-45mins to really open as well as warm up. Oak was noticeable, but it resembled smoked hazelnut instead of a butter bomb. Had never gotten the smoky notes on a Chardonnay like I did on this one. Heavy on the butterscotch, but not overly sweet. Fantastic structure...mainly savory on the nose, but the palate and finish has just a tinge of mineral and fruit driven notes. As you can see, great complexity. Wonderful, @Shawn R ! Thanks again.

Such a treat tonight paired with pan-seared wild salmon. Delightful balance of tropical and mineral notes. Indulgent mouthfeel. Initial whiffs of oak dissipated quickly leaving behind clean and crisp aromas of fruit and stone. Pitch perfect acid. Almost electrical, really. Delightful finish. What a delicious wine.

Got Montrachet traits abound. Hailing from the Hudson Vineyard with a special Hudson/Wente clone. Rich white, aromas of lime, green hazelnut and stones. Well put together hinting white peach, spice and lemon pie. Elegant flavors that fan across the palate that keep building on the finish. Not your typical Cali Chardonnay.

Worth putting down. More concentration than zip. Intense pear action with a great dancing minerality. Layers of mandarin and lemony cream. Great creamy mouthfeel. If you close your eyes, you can smell the eucalyptus trees from the property.
