Not the all-time great that the ‘17 is...but a fabulous, fruity and engaging wine you can enjoy while the ‘17s slumber. As engaging a young wine as I’ve ever tasted from Brunet; the usual old vine intensity is offset by real lift and pop.

Shockingly fine. Pure, energetic, fruity and engaging, with the extra intensity and complexity that comes from extremely old vines. This is as riveting in its youth as Brunet’s legendary 2014. Not as big as the ‘15 or ‘16, but way more detailed. One of the greatest young Bojos I’ve ever tasted. #domainederobert #morgon #gamay

Beetroot, crushed rocks. More open and drinkable now than the massive 2015. Pleasantly tannic. Another in a string of sensational Crus from Brunet! #morgon #gamay #crubeaujolais

Dried leaves,, quite tannic and tart, a bit fuller for a Beaujolais. From Prospect Wines.

Way too young, but quite tasty still. Give it at least a few years.

So good. Black fruits, cherries, beets, and dirt with a vibrant acidity brought on with a slight chill. Just the slightest grip made it excellent with some coq au vin (that was also cooked in the wine). Fresh, fun, fruity. A fave.
