Gift from a friend. Ruby red, very good clarity. Aromas of strawberries to the max on initial pour. Fresh wood shavings and licorice as well. Red fruit flavors with eucalyptus and cough syrup character. Fruit fades quickly with its age, but decent acid and mild skin astringency carry through in the aftertaste. Two hours later, plum, cherry skin and spice flavors dominate. Give it time to come together.

The 2012 Patricia Green Cellars Olenik Pinot Noir. From Chehalem Mountain Newberg, Oregon.

On the nose this had strawberry, stewed plum, licorice, spice, vanilla, forest floor and earth.

On the palate there was cherry, strawberry, mushroom, leather, black tea and undergrowth.

This wine is medium bodied with medium to medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that mive into a medium to long mushroom earthy finish. I hope everyone is well? I just came off a 2 and a half week bought of a head cold. I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Please have agreat week ahead. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Dark cherry fruit with earthy overtones, a little one dimensional, slightly too overtly fruity, could use more acid.
