Magnums of champagne are a vice :) this grower producer beauty is perfectly balanced with notes of citrus, sourdough, marzipan and a lengthy finish. Was a perfect way to start valentines day festivities!

2002 vintage. At Sushi Ginza-Iwa in Tokyo. Pale golden hue. Ripe lemon, stone fruit and brioche. Slight oxidation - nuttiness. On the palate, slightly fat - needs more acidity for my taste; also slightly too much dosage. Medium plus body, ripe flavours. Good finish. Lacks some elegance and finesse. Not strictly my style. Not sure if this will benefit from further ageing.
