Pencopolitano Cauquenes Red Blend

Actually from Chile, not Italy. Super smoky! At first, too much. But then it simmers down and becomes quite delicious.

A bit smokey, has some brett

Fruity wine that goes nicely with pizza or cheesesteak. Overpriced and overrated but different. Enjoyable if not outstanding.

A bumble of blueberry. This one was great!

Lovely sipping wine, great with a light meal and fresh, acidic fruits and veggies. Good tannin, not extremely full bodied, fruity and enjoyable.

Chile not Italy. Bay Grape wine club. Some red fruit and berries, slight tannin aftertaste.

I drank the 2015 vintage, not one of my favorites. It’s more on the light side and transparent. Not really an exciting blend, but it would be a safe choice if you are trying to impress a first date with your knowledge of “exotic” wines as it is not acidic.
