Dark purple in color with a wide purplish rim.

Smells fresh on the nose with blackberries, blueberries, black currants, cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco and coffee. Nice nose.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, currants, licorice, cedar, vanilla, earth, peppercorn, leather, tar, tobacco, coffee, dark chocolates and graphite.

Short finish with no tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 12 year old Shiraz is showing nice complexity at this point. Spicy, tangy and easy drinking.

Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour of airtime.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a cheese plate and crackers.

I really enjoyed the nose here. Nice to try these aged Australian Shiraz.

14% alcohol by volume.

87 Points.

Have to admit that I did not enjoy this as much on Wednesday evening as I did when I revisited tonight. Lots of smokey bacon notes, chewy without the abrasive tannins. Smooth finish. Smoke lingers a bit. Overall, a big change up from the over ripe fruit bomb Shiraz from a few years back. As I'm trying more and more new vintage releases of Aussie Shiraz I'll continue to say that they are BACK!! And in a good way.

Ripe fruits and peppery notes. Good economic Shiraz for everyday drinkability.

This time itโ€™s the 2018 - look back a few tasting notes for my thoughts on the 2017.

Deep garnet shade in the glass. The nose is really savoury and earthy more so than fruity. However those juicy fruits and berries come through on the palate with plenty of richness. I love the super smooth long finish ๐Ÿ˜‹

Kindly received as a media sample (thank you!).

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

A cheap and cheerful Shiraz that brings value for under $15 a bottle.

Inky red colour in the glass with rich and vibrant notes of spiced berries, dark chocolate and tar on the nose. The palate is bold and fruit forward with peppered berries and chocolate covered plums. Decent length finish.

Thank you Paringa for sending over this sample of your 2019 Shiraz to try. With International Shiraz Day just around the corner itโ€™s great to try some new Shirazโ€™s!

In the glass itโ€™s a satin red colour. Itโ€™s definitely a rich and ripe Shiraz on both the nose and palate with notes of tree bark, black fruits, coffee, tobacco, cedar and peppered fruits. A wine to warm you up, great for the cooler months or to match are hearty meal like a curry ๐Ÿ˜‹
