Bric dël Fiasc Barolo Nebbiolo

Dark purplish color, opaque. Fragrant nose. Notes of red earthy fruit, tea, some oak, a little rose petal, and some menthol. Good core of fruit in the mouth, with tannins nicely resolved. Medium plus finish. Good showing. Gave it 4 hrs of air. Ready for consumption.

Pretty top notch Barolo to be expected.

Spice, floral, dark fruit.

Out of mag. Spectacular wine. Totally resolved tannins with loads of floral and spice characteristics on the nose and gobs of fruit. Man this was great.

In a perfect place. I love it when a wine seems to inhabit every section of your mouth. This one does it. So balanced. Has the stiffing to last but if you've been waiting time to try one.

Mushroomy advanced nose. Peanut shell, meaty.

This was so beautiful. While lacking in power, it's in a perfect drinking window and the balance it displays is lovely.

Is it awesome? Nope. Is it modern? Yep. Is there oak? Sure. Is it Giacosa? Certainly not. Does it deserve the severe indictment it gets? I don't think so.
