Incredibly smooth yet remarkably rich and full-bodied with eloquent power and grace

Blueberry vanilla syrup. Might be great on pancakes, but not straight from my glass. Still a well made wine, just lacks any acidity or any other element to balance out the gobs of sweet fruit.

VA on the nose, overripe notes on nose, astringency on palate - acid + tannin not harmonious. Good wine, but not great (expensive). Seems like wine trying to be more than the vineyard is capable of.

All the rest are fakers, this is real gravity-flow wine, like 18 stories underground style.

Needs about an hour to open up. Still has lots of fruit, wood, tannin. After it opens up the balance sets in. black fruits and wood on the nose. Slight vegetal, deep rich palate, and slight tingling acidity. Finish is a little port like and yet balanced with soft burlap tannins.
