Last night we opened the 2012 Pali Huntington Santa Barbra County Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is strawberry, cherry, cranberry, allspice, vanilla, herbal notes, oak and earth.
On the palate there is black cherry, raspberry, strawberry, cinnamon, clove, cola, oak and eathy notes.
This wine is medium to medium+ body with a soft mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium round mouthcoating tannins that leaves you with a medium to long red and black fruit earthy finish. This is comfort food Pinot. I paired tonight’s bottle with homemade chicken and biscuits veggie pie. Heaven! Perfect cool climate cherry forward wine with foresty flooriness. Also married well with the truffle Brie appetizer. Fall season delight!

15' Pali Wine Company Huntington Pinot Noir.
I purchased the 2014 because it was the editors choice from Wine Enthusiast. Very enjoyable for $20. I thought what the hell let's get six of the 2015 when I visited few months back. Very happy I did. I haven't had a better "California"Pinot for the money.
