Palari
Faro Nerello Blend

One of the better Faro Palari examples I have tried. Light, persistent and pretty.

Solid showing but not as spectacular as other bottles I’ve tried. Oxidized on night two, so likely opened at the right time.

Mid Ruby Red. Earthy Herbal Leathery Savoury notes of medium weight. From the Sicilian Reds I’ve had in the last few days this was one of the better ones. Balsamic - finishes dry. None of the oxidative characters experienced in some of the other aged reds we’ve had. The reason it was a little more full bodied was the inclusion of a % of Nero d’Avola.

Loving the Faro style blends from outside of Etna - Nerello M/C, Nocerra, and a few others - touch of earth with velvety spicy baked goods, WOTN @Hotel Signum in Malfa, Salina #1MS

Had it November 2010.
Brilliant ruby. Little red berries, chinotto, graphite, hints of orange 🍊, very elegant herbaceous note, almost balsamic, might be mint or spearmint. Velvety mouth, smooth, easy to drink and long. Best vintage of this wine so far.

Complex baked fruit and scorched earth, animal hide. At this age the '08 is more Cornas than Côte de Nuits.
