Third langhe Nebbiolo from 2021 I’ve had (after produttori and massolino) and I continue to be impressed - and hopeful for the Barolos / Barbarescos to come! This Starda from Paitin is a bit more generous and a bit less of an acid driven refined finish than the produttori. But still very nice - especially for <$20.

Lots of tar, super juicy, and acid forward, blackberry, dried violets, roasted plums, black tea, minerals, grapefruit pith. A little tight when opened, needed to breathe. From Town Center Wines, Eastham. 06/18/23.

Basically a bottle of great Barbaresco. Young vines from Cru Serraboella combined with another vineyard in Alba. Roast plums, tar, black tea, jasmine, nutmeg. Sensational! #paitin#nebbiolo

Not a bad Nebbiolo if you can get it in the $30 range. Translucent color. Very light aroma but I pick up herbal and earthy notes more than fruit. On the palate I get light herbal notes as well. Short finish but lasting oak on the tongue. Medium to high tannins and acidity.
