Depth and structure for days. Tension between acidity and grape tannins (grippy and Nebbiolo-like but softer). Without seeing the colour I might have called youngish high elevation Nebbiolo based on the palate. High tone cherry notes and green rose stems first. Later black earth and leather with baking spices take over.

Haven't had a chance to try this vintage until tonight. Holy wow. So drinkable and complex and beautiful. Per usual, #Pacina reigns in the best of the best. #sangiovese #chianti

Cherry at first then leather and spices. Very similar to a Nebbiolo but with really grippy tannins - almost too tannic...
