Ottella
Lugana Trebbiano
Straw yellow. Noted effervescence in the glass and in the bottle (gas escaped at opening). Medium intensity of aroma exhibits pear, almond, citrus rind, mineral (wet clay). Medium body, mouthwatering, racy acidity, medium alcohol 12% thrown a no heat, no bitterness, slight spritz on the lips. Long finish with medium complexity, refreshing mouth filling perfume dominated by freshly sliced, ripe lemon, honeysuckle, and almond paste.

Dec 12th, 2015A really good #lugana base. Juicy of peach and tropical yellow fruits, long and rich.

Jun 4th, 2014Pretty & fresh . Bartlett pear but not a mushy one. White flowers. Saline and stone, like whitecaps crashing on a cool rocky beach. Tiniest sparkle. Lemon rind and a little chalk come forward as it warms in the glass.

Apr 27th, 2023Likely verdicchio instead of Trebbiano as mentioned in Godforsaken grapes. Bright, mineral, strawberries. “Yet what should become of the world? The industrial countries spreading like a blackness over all the world, horrible, in the end destructive. And the Garda was so lovely under the sky of sunshine, it was intolerable.”
