Hints of apple and hazelnut with some smoke and citrus. Acidity still shows they, but not enough.

Mar 31st, 20172015 is a new direction for this wine. Previous vintages were always a delight. That's not to say I am not pleased with where this wine has headed. If you have not given an 'Orange' wine a try yet I highly recommend this one. Lots to think about with this wine. Don't drink it too cold and give it a little time to open up in the glass.

Oct 11th, 20162014. The skin contact gives this wine an interesting verve. Stone fruit, with bits of citrus and smokiness on the finish. Recommended if you're open to a wine that sits a bit outside traditional. 13% abv. $24

Sep 18th, 2016The 2014 Omero Pinot Gris flirts with being an orange wine, and has a noticeable pinkish hue due to an astonishing 18 days of skin contact followed by lees stirring. I've found that domestics made in this style can be leesy or slightly bitter, and yet the Omero has neither quality. Instead subtle aromas of dried apricot and catmint reside under a fine layer of chalkboard dust. It's nicely balanced, beautifully textured, and is etched by bright acidity with underripe pineapple notes, minerals, and saline. Sample
