Light to mid golden in colour. Aromatics of yellow orchard fruits and melon with a touch of honey/beeswax. An oxidative style - almost unctuous in texture. Great flavours. I don’t drink many Loire Valley wines - this was very good.

Great wine to start the night at Atelier Crenn. Good color and a little tight at first. An hour after opening, the nose transformed to opulent honeysuckle. Great weight and length.

Joly Coulee de Serrant 2016 was not great. This was my first time having one without at least 15 years of age and I don’t plan to again. Overtly sweet and unbalanced.
