Cocktail hour at Christie's hosted by the Friends of Notre Dame in the effort to help raise money for the cathedral's restoration. The wines were artfully curated by @Noah May. First up was this beguiling Chenin Blanc that was golden in color and burst with peaches, orange peel and spice cake. Its richness coats the mouth. A fascinating wine.

Showed it's true colors after being opened for an hour....the secondary flavors were stunning. Excellent food wine.

Lived up to it's rep. Perfect with nodoguro. Drank way too young but an hour in the decanter made it right.

Not the best vintage/bottle. Still a wonderful wine w honey, apricot n the less spice notes o ginger. Les fruit than expeggeded, maybe due to oxidation/bad cork. Acididi was more prominent than expeggeded.

Älskar Chenin. Orangefärgat vacker. Doftar torkad aprikos, biwax och lite äppelskrutt. Härlig beska i smaken. Väldigt munfyllande och underbar gul frukt.
