On the palate; poached strawberries, dark cherries, blackberries, blue fruits, chocolate, spice-box, leather, anise, underbrush, dry stems, black cherry cola & red roses. Round, lush, ripe fruits. Blueberries, boysenberries, black plum, bigger tannins, cedar, light black earth and dry stones. One of the top 3 wines of the 14 presented.

May 9th, 2016Wine is incredibly dark and brooding. Very dense and heavy taste and texture right out of the bottle.
Drank over about 3 hours. Oxygen was this wines friend and the wine opened up quite a bit to reveal more bright and red fruit to complement the black fruit and density which also gave way as it breathed.
Not a blockbuster from a complexity perspective and lacked the punch of something special. But a solid oakville cab nonetheless and not too oaky.
