Points on the scoreboard in every aspect of the game here. Dark red hue with aromas of fresh cedar, cherries, and plums. Medium bodied and medium tannins with strawberry, blackberry, and new leather. Nice long lasting finish. It’s a winner.

Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits, espresso, cedar and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of raspberry, strawberry and ripe black cherry with notes of cacao, vanilla and dried floral herbs. Fine rich tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cacao, spice and earthy mineral notes. Nice!

Liked it so much I grabbed another bottle. Newton was founded in 1977 by English businessman Peter Newton and his Chinese wife Su Hua. Straw yellow with aromas of stone fruits and sweet honey spice. On the palate this Napa Chard has concentrated fruits of peach and apple with bits of honey and citrus. Well balanced, nice acidity and lingers with toasty notes and citrus mineral ending. Very nice. Tasting Sample.

Great wine! A napa cab that actually has acidity and isn't overoaked. Depth and intensity, really a great valued wine

To support the wineries that are the victims of the Glass fires, here is a delicious one from Newton Vineyard.

Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.

Great nose of blueberries, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, coke, tobacco, light alcohol, mocha and black pepper.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, cooked cherries, dried figs, raisins, vanilla, cedar, licorice, mocha, coke and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This 10 year old Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking wonderfully, right out of the bottle. Very tasty and enjoyable by itself.

Very complex with a great mouthfeel. Rich and smooth. Awesome nose, that I kept smelling on for a long time.

This would have been even better if we had a couple of hours to open it up properly, but it was gone so quickly.

Robert Parker 94 points.

Delicious now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with beef kebabs.

A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Syrah, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

95 points.

$55 (current vintage).

Unfiltered means the nose is raw and stemmy, but at the same time the blackberry and red plum notes are that much more fresh. The palate has crazy chewy tannins, almost gripping at your tongue. Balanced and somewhat regal, this is great.
