Well I purchased the new 2013 Newton Unfiltered Chard! My usually 1 bottle a year! In past it always the creamy buttery chard! This vintage 2013 has more going on. Tropical fruits yes and rich and creamy, but not the Old Buttery Stuff. Much improved style my compliments! I say 93+. Keep in mind some people like butter but California is changing in a Good Way. Bravo to Newton Unfiltered 2013 Chardonnay! CB

Rich and complex; creaminess perfectly balanced with underlying acidity. Simply lovely. Paired well with gnocchi and crab with cream sauce. (Recommended by sommelier at Cache in Little Rock)

Inspired by @Ron R , I thought a white might go well with dinner.
Newton remains ok' reliable. It has changed slightly from the 2012. It is more tropical than buttery. I think this causes it to be a bit out of balance compared to prior.

Unusually good Cali chard. Rich and full-bodied without debased cloying.
