This is not your classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blamc, so get prepared for a different profile of New Zealand SB. Coming from the cool climate of North Canterbury, this wine has vegetal and mineral tones and the clean fruit is on background making it quite an interesting example of the potential of SB in NZ. Crisp and clean. Not an average Sav Blanc from New Zealand. Grassy, vegetal notes, citrus, super dry with medium plus viscosity. Wonderful with the fresh, Florida seafood we enjoyed at Norman Van Aken's new 1921 Restaurant in Mt Dora.
