Morlet Family Vineyards
Coteaux Nobles Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
My last bottle! From a hillside vineyard on an eastern slope on the second ridge from the Pacific Ocean. Deep Ruby with subtle aromas of red fruits and peppery spices, aging softened the aromas a bit. The palate shows raspberry and cherry with flavorful spices. Vivid acidity with super soft tannins with an earthy feel. Lingering finish with ripe oaky notes, minerality and earthy tones. Aged well, drink now! Very nice!

Jul 7th, 2019California Pinot like this? Very good and opened up beautifully. Silly but with some medicinal quality. Super well done

Deep Ruby with forward fruit aromas of red fruits and peppery spices. The palate shows sour raspberry and wild cherry with flavorful spices. Vivid acidity with soft tannins were noted. The finish was lingering with oaky notes, minerality and earthy tones. Very nice! Tasting Sample.

Sep 21st, 2016A great representation of a well made Pinot Noir from Sonoma. Linear and full, polished like a marble beam, balanced with good structure and the right balance of acidity and fruit, but the savory and shade of herbs hold court most.

May 9th, 2016This over delivered for sure. I didn't have hug expectations for a 9 year old Sonoma coast Pinot (even if it is morlet) but hot damn this was great. Fruit was still very much alive, framed by some sweet toasty oak (but not overpowering) it is an elegant wine yet with some backbone. Pleasant notes of ripe cherry, forest floor, confectionary sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Highly recommended and still very much on the young side
