Was blinded with this and guessed Chablis. So delicate and chalky. Quite muted with citrus, flint, acacia, white pepper, chamomile, and fennel. Really pretty.

Seth’s new 2018 Marine Chardonnay is in blind tasting so Burgundian. I could drink this every day. Saline, seductive and more oxidative than reduced. Very good

From Wine Merchants Morgen Long tasting 8/14. Lime, Asian pear. Vibrant acidity. Hints of flintiness. Only 15% new oak. Had with Akar’s lobster rangoon and sea bass with saffron rice and curry.

Aug 21st, 2021Had a virtual tasting with Seth Morgen Long. Some of the best Oregon Chardonnay I have had. Really beautiful, well made wines. He is the only producer in Oregon making Chardonnay exclusively. I can’t wait to taste these with some age.
