I’m a fussy one with Pinot. It should not come from Western Australia IMO. Clones or climate, prob both. This from the Mornington Peninsula is everything I want. Lower alcohol, rose petals, violets, no confection, some spices. It went really well with a Chicken Biryani. I’ve always loved their Chardonnay and now I’m late to their Pinot Show but loving this immensely. 2019.

(And then I remember that Batista Estate Angelina Pinot is a doll. From WA) 🩷

This wine completely surprised me. I know Mornington Peninsula has great Pinots but this was only my 2nd or 3rd one. Upon opening, the alcohol was hot but then after an hour it dissipated. Combo of both fresh picked, sour, and slightly bruised red fruit. Prominent Notes of iron and minerality and a little forest floor

Would've picked it for a NZ pinot blind-folded. Delicious. Full of red fruits; strawberries and cranberries especially, little bit of tannin in there too but retaining its elegance. Stoked!

Pretty juicy, strawberry fruited, sweet fruit and direct. It's a good wine from a super Mornington Peninsula family. 2011 tough and this doesn't have many layers, but everything is right and it's delicious to drink.

Middle Eastern spices along with sweet berry fruit, simply gorgeous! Palate has creamy tannin and full on red fruit but needs time

The way a Pinot noir should be.... Elegant and beautiful. Not overly extracted but can carry its own!

Very light, good steak of slatey minerality and cranberry. Close to a NZ Pinot Noir.
