Almost on par with the st aubin. Some herbacios notes that are really complex compliment this wine while still being really silky and chalk full of minerality. — 2 months ago
For gruner I understand why people like this. Round with tons of minerality and chalkiness and almost a hay like quality. A tad bit of RS but very well balanced. Would like some more acidity on the back end. — 2 years ago
For a 1990, shows such bright fresh red fruit on the nose with a bit of spice. Delivers the same on the palate. — 2 years ago
Great borgogne blanc. Chalky lemon nose that delivers on the palate with a bit more body than you'd expect. Opens up after an hour or so and the oak becomes more integrated and not as prevalent. Overall not a lot of oak. — 2 years ago
Much different then the saint aubin. Nuttier and a sour cream nose. Much drier and not as lush and rich. Good if you like leaner burgundy. — 2 months ago
Tons of salinity and minerality on the nose with a slight hint of bruised apricot. For a 2004 the nose was so so fresh and bright. A tiny bit of RS on the palate but a bone dry finish and a lingering bitter apricot after finish.
Magnum!! — a year ago
This is stunning. Didn't think I was a yves Colin fan but this is dry rich silky and packed full of minerality all at once. Really everything you'd want from a young burgundy. — 2 months ago
Beautiful on the nose. Floral and earthy with a bit of mushroom. A tiny bit closed but opening up. Palate is super delicate and soft with rhubarb and a great finish. Super young. — 2 years ago
2010 being a cooler vintage in Washington, showing really restrained beautifully fresh red fruit with licorice and dark chocolate. So glad to be selling these wines again after 8 years. Original drawing by John Bookwalter himself!
