The only kerner I’ve ever had is abazzia and to have this one shows me what the varietal can do. Textured, layered, lemon, chalk, nice acid. — 6 years ago
This wine completely surprised me. I know Mornington Peninsula has great Pinots but this was only my 2nd or 3rd one. Upon opening, the alcohol was hot but then after an hour it dissipated. Combo of both fresh picked, sour, and slightly bruised red fruit. Prominent Notes of iron and minerality and a little forest floor — 6 years ago
The cave of the fox .1 hectare mostly Mencia and trousseau. Possible field blend. Planted in the 1890s with Alicante bouche. Super earthy and piney and animal. Fantastic and complex. — 5 years ago
Really delicate. Almost a little thin but a mess finish but it’s opening up as I go along. Bright lemon, lots of chalk. Pretty. — 6 years ago
Gorgeous. First wine from this vineyard and producer. Masculine, layered, textured, still bright and fresh fruit. — 6 years ago
Probably one of the driest sakes I’ve ever had. Not sure what that says about me. I bought it’d be better considering the dryness, but it was lacking in flavor and had some heat to it. Although it did go incredibly well with the nigiri. A bit thin. — 6 years ago
Super dry on the nose with bright red fruit in the palate. Unique for a champagne (at least for me) to get bright sour cherry with a bit of bruised red apple and great acidity — 5 years ago
I simply can’t get over the PYCM texture present in all their wines. Although I’d be happy drinking their Bourgogne blanc. — 6 years ago
Words can’t describe my love affair with this wine. My 6y describes it as “lemony. The sun, a treasure, smells like gold”. It’s hard for me to argue with him. Silky ripe lemon with a heavy mineral chalk component on the front palate. I wish it lasted a little longer in the finish but still soft and expressive. Out of magnum second day. — 6 years ago

Super cool to be drinking this 15 years later. Definitely ready to drink and still thick and chewy. Dusty and dark fruited in the nose and sweet cherry on the pallet. Might hold up for another 5 years. — 5 years ago
